Changes

  • The Varnish cache settings in the Acquia Cloud interface now check all domains by default, and remember previous settings.
  • The Stack Metrics page, now supports specific or custom time ranges.
  • Links in the Acquia Cloud interface now all correctly reference cloud.acquia.com.
  • Environment cards have been updated for consistency.

Fixed issues

  • The source and target branch selections for Bitbucket builds in the Acquia Pipelines feature are now consistent with other builds.

Feature

  • Updated Acquia Insight interface with multisite support Acquia Insight has been updated with a new interface that supports both individual websites and multisite installations, with easy-to-read graphs and statistics to help you monitor performance across all of your websites and, giving you added visibility into the various applications that may be sharing code and databases. With this updated feature, all Acquia Insight scores have been removed from the Workflow and Environment pages and are consolidated in the Acquia Insight page. Learn more.

Changes

  • The Acquia Cloud API implemented CORS (Cross-origin resource sharing), allowing for API authentication within the browser.
  • Acquia Cloud CD environments can now be deleted from environment listing page.

Fixed issue

  • Acquia Cloud Pipelines jobs were not correctly limited to two concurrent jobs.

  • Subversion (SVN) is no longer supported or available in any Acquia Cloud user interface pages. Git should be used for version control; it is not possible to switch to SVN.

  • On the Environments page, environments now are listed in this order:
  • For Acquia Cloud Professional customers, the Stack Metrics page now displays a set of graphs summarizing overall server health.

  • As of December 1, 2017, the Subversion (SVN) version control system is deprecated.
  • PHP 7.0 is no longer available.
  • The following included software was updated:

    • PHP versions were updated to 7.1.11 and 5.6.32
    • New Relic was updated to 7.6.0.201

Fixed issue

  • Database backups will not attempt to back up databases from database roles that have been removed.

Changes

Important

Beginning November 15, 2017, all new websites deployed on Acquia Cloud will default to PHP 7.1.

  • The following included software was updated:
    • Updated PHP to version 7.1.10
  • Drush 6 is the default Drush version.
  • Drush 8 is available, but is not the default version. While it was temporarily the default after 1.103 was released, Acquia has reverted this change until we resolve an issue with the daily database backups for customers who also have a composer-included vendor version of Drush 8.
  • APCu shm_size defaults to 32MB.
  • TLS 1.0 will not be enabled on any new elastic load balancers (ELBs).
  • Several internal updates were made to Acquia Cloud relating to general stability improvements.

  • On the Stack Metrics page, the database layer displayed data that was aggregated across both database servers. The displayed database layer information is now only for the primary database instance.

Acquia Cloud interface - week of September 10, 2017

Changes

  • Authentication services were updated to enable customers using whitelists to more easily authenticate with additional Acquia services, such as the Acquia Pipelines feature.
  • The Stack Metrics CPU and Memory charts now support the display of multiple servers. Learn more.
  • The Scheduled jobs link has been removed from the Acquia Cloud interface for Node.js environments.

Fixed issue

  • Acquia Cloud displayed the Import from URL button twice on the Install distribution page. (N3UI-2302)
  • Stack Metrics CPU and memory on for the database layer incorrectly displayed a single instance instead of aggregated data. (N3UI-2295)

  • The Acquia Cloud interface did not return the correct URLs for several Acquia Cloud Site Factory customers’ Factories. (N3-2257)
  • In certain circumstances, the Acquia Cloud user interface did not indicate if an application was ready to use. (N3-2318)
  • Labels under page titles occasionally did not display correctly. (N3UI-2247)

    To help you get a better sense of the resources being used by your applications, Acquia Cloud now includes Stack Metrics, which provides information regarding your applications’ CPU, memory, and disk consumption. Learn more.

    Note

    This feature replaces the previously available Stack View page, which was available through a private beta in the previous version of Acquia Cloud.

  • The transaction logs for New Relic no longer include ACQUIA_MONITOR, AH_VIEW, or AH_DOWNLOAD.
  • Acquia Cloud no longer supports the following features or items:
    • TLS 1.0 (CL-17403)
    • Traceview (CL-14773)
    • Usage of port 8080 (CL-17026)

Fixed issues

  • When upgrading to PHP 7.1, Xdebug caused errors. (CL-18693)
  • Mysqldump backups did not store utf8mb4 characters, and instead replaced them with question marks. (CL-14004)
  • In some circumstances, backups could fail for Acquia Cloud users. (CL-18124, CL-15741, CL-18432)

Upcoming change to supported Drush versions

Acquia Cloud version 1.101 will remove support for both Drush 3 and Drush 4.

Changes

  • The MySQL sql_mode setting override for multiregion Drupal 8 websites is available for use on Acquia Cloud. (CL-15272)
  • MySQL now uses less memory on servers with less than 4GB of memory, which helps websites’ uptimes in smaller environments. (CL-16506)
  • If a file migration attempt exceeds the quota for Acquia Cloud Free- or Acquia Cloud CD-based environments, Acquia Cloud will stop the process and display an error message. (CL-16346)
  • Several modifications were made to Acquia Cloud to both improve general reliability and shorten maintenance windows.

  • Better identification of draggable elements Whenever you point to code, database, and file elements for your environments in the Acquia Cloud interface, the cursor now changes from a pointer a hand, indicating that the element can be dragged from one environment to another.

Changes

  • The text fields for the Add domain and Add database dialog boxes were resized to match the sizing of other Acquia Cloud fields. (N3UI-889)
  • The help text for the Import Drupal from URL dialog box was updated to include a link to Importing an existing application using Drush. (N3UI-1233)

    Important

    You cannot use Symfony 3.x or greater with Drush 8.1.8 in Acquia Cloud applications. To work around this issue, use one of the following options:

    • Compile your own version of Drush.
    • Update to Drush 9.
    • Use a previous (but less secure) version of Drush 8.
  • Updated PHP to version 5.6.29. (CL-15103)

  • Updated APCu to version 4.0.11. (CL-15103)

  • Updated ssh2 to version 0.13. (CL-15103)

  • Updated ClamAV to version 0.99.2. (CL-14986)

  • Updated sysdig to version 0.13.0. (CL-15332)

  • Users are no longer required to provide their account credentials when connecting their Drupal 8 websites to Acquia Cloud. (CL-15008)

  • When signing in to Acquia Cloud using SSH, the displayed welcome message now includes a link to the Managing applications using the command line documentation page. (CL-15230)

Fixed issue

  • Occasionally, Varnish could not cache specific websites that contained particular combinations of cookies. (CL-14585)
