Content Hub glossary

Content Hub has several terms that have specific definitions based on their use in the product.

Term Definition
Content Hub The product name for Acquia's secure, cloud-based distribution and discovery service that enables customers to author, search and share content throughout a complex network of sites and channels.
Content Hub Service/Subscription Refers to a customer's specific cloud-based content repository that aggregates/pushes content across a customer’s complex network of sites and channels. The customer may have several sites or technologies connected to this Hub.
API keys Each customer is issued a set of API keys as part of one Content Hub Service/Subscription.
(Content) Dependency Nodes, taxonomy terms, vocabularies, or other documents that are connected to the primary document being published to Content Hub.
Document A Document in Content Hub is a 1:1 mapping to a Drupal entity such as nodes, taxonomy terms, vocabularies, or custom product entities.
Publishing website Any website (or application) that publishes content into Content Hub (or the “Hub”). With an Enterprise subscription, customers have access to the API, which they can use to build connections with other technologies, either using their own resources or leveraging the expertise of Acquia’s Professional Services. Drupal connections are out-of-the-box.
Subscribing website Any website (or application) that consumes content from Content Hub (or the “Hub”). With an Enterprise subscription, customers have access to the API, which they can use to build connections with other technologies, either using their own resources or leveraging the expertise of Acquia’s Professional Services. Drupal connections are out-of-the-box.
