This document outlines the language support features available in ProctorU, which is Acquia's proctoring partner for secure online exams.

Live chat assistance
--------------------

In your ProctorU account, you can use the **Live Chat** option and get assistance from the ProctorU Support team in any of the following languages:

*   English
*   French
*   Spanish

German and Japanese will be available soon.

Setting your preferred language
-------------------------------

To set your preferred language in your ProctorU account:

1.  Log in to your account.
2.  Navigate to **Account Settings**.

3.  In the **Preferred Language** dropdown, select your preferred language from the following available options:
    
    *   English
    *   French (Canada)
    *   German
    *   Japanese
    *   Spanish

Language on exam pre-checks and Guardian Secure Browser
-------------------------------------------------------

The preferred language set in your ProctorU account controls the language for the pre-check screens and Guardian Secure Browser. You can also change your preferred language during the first step of the pre-checks screen.

The language set on your computer controls the language outside of the pre-check screens. This might include menu options and pop-up messages within the Guardian Secure Browser.
