In Cloud Platform, the first bare domain name you add to an environment is the _active domain_ for that environment. This is true with, or without the `www` prefix. Environments containing no bare custom domains use the [Acquia default domain](/acquia-cloud-platform/manage-apps/domains) as the active domain.

Note
