If you implement a custom VCL file, the system might generate the following error when you run the Acquia CLI pull command to import your database into your IDE:

Unable to download database copy from /environments/XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX/databases/SITENAME/backups/XXXXXX/actions/download. 404: Not Found

This is a [known issue](/acquia-cloud-platform/docs/known-issues/cloud-platform?previewMode=current#unable-to-perform-database-backups-following-the-vcl-access-list-update) in Cloud Platform.

To resolve this issue, [contact Acquia Support](/service-offerings/support#contact-acquia-support) and request an update to the Access Control List (ACL) in your VCL. After you update the ACL, download the database backups into your IDE using acli.
