Cloud IDE is a browser-based source code editor that is optimized for Drupal applications and runs on Cloud Platform. To add Cloud IDE to your Cloud Platform subscription, contact your Account Manager. Cloud IDE is not available for subscribers with [specific regulatory or compliance requirements](/acquia-cloud-platform/security-and-compliance "Security and compliance").

Requirements
------------

Cloud IDE requires the latest version of one of the following browsers:

*   Chrome
*   Edge
*   Firefox
*   Safari

User interface
--------------

Cloud IDE displays the files and directories from your Drupal codebase in an Explorer pane on the left. To view or modify files, double click any file and open the source code editor.
