Introduction
------------

This document provides information about the basic navigation on the Edge Standard dashboard.

When you sign in to the Edge Console, you primarily work with the following areas:

Domains page
------------

Lists all custom domains associated with your Acquia Cloud Platform subscription. Each domain displays one of the following statuses:

*   **Connecting to Edge** – Domain configuration is in progress.
    
*   **Ownership validation pending** – DNS-based ownership validation is pending.
    
*   **Ready for DNS repointing** – Acquia has issued the SSL certificate, and you can update your DNS.
    
*   **Configured** – Domain traffic is routing through Edge Standard successfully.
    

The page also displays Domain usage and Bandwidth usage indicators that show your current consumption against your entitlements.

Use the Actions menu (ellipsis icon next to each domain) to perform the following actions:

*   **Configure Edge** – Start Edge configuration for the domain.
    
*   **Deprovision** – Remove the domain from Edge Standard.
    
*   **Cancel configuration** – Cancel an in-progress domain setup.
    

Performance
-----------

Use the Performance tab to monitor traffic and manage cached content:

*   **Performance metrics** – View traffic data, including requests and bandwidth. Filter by domain, time period, status codes, content types, and countries.
    
*   **Purge cache** – Clear cached content by using one of the following options:
    
    *   Purge by path
        
    *   Purge by cache tag
        
    *   Purge everything
        
    *   Purge domains
        
    *   Purge application
        

Security
--------

Use the Security tab to configure protections and monitor threats:

*   **WAF rulesets** – Configure Web Application Firewall protections:
    
    *   **OWASP ruleset** – Pre-configured rules for OWASP Top 10 threats, including SQL injection, XSS, and command injection. Enabled by default.
        
    *   **Acquia Managed ruleset** – Acquia-curated rules for Drupal core hardening, technology shielding, bot management, and application-specific traffic filtering.
        
    *   **Custom WAF rules** – Create custom rules tailored to your application's specific needs.
        
*   **Rate limiting** – Configure request thresholds per client IP by using traffic profiles (Strict, Tough, Moderate, Friendly, or Lenient). Supports global and domain-specific rules.
    
*   **IP Access control** – Create allow or block rules based on client IP addresses or CIDR ranges. Allow rules take precedence over block rules.
    
*   **Security metrics** – View threats mitigated, estimated bandwidth saved, and WAF response overview across protection layers:
    
    *   **Rule audit table** – Review active and deleted rules with 24-hour hit counts and rule analysis.
        
    *   **Threat discovery** – Identify suspicious patterns, such as scrapers and DDoS attempts, and create rules directly from threat cards.
        

User management
---------------

Manage team access by using Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) with the following roles:

*   **Edge Administrator** – Full access to all settings, data, and user management.
    
*   **Edge Manager** – Read and write access to configuration and metrics.
    
*   **Edge Viewer** – Read-only access to configuration and dashboards.
