This page describes the approaches you can take to resolve any issues you find with Acquia Edge.

Important

Acquia recommends you to upgrade to Cloudflare’s updated WAF with new Managed and OWASP Rulesets before Monday, September 30, 2024. For more information, see [this documentation](https://acquia.my.site.com/s/article/Upgrading-from-Cloudflare-Legacy-WAF-Rules-to-Cloudflare-WAF-with-new-Managed-and-OWASP-Rulesets).

Timeouts
--------

Acquia Edge waits 100 seconds for a response from your back end (origin) servers before timing out. If Acquia Edge doesn’t receive a response after 100 seconds, it will close the connection and display the following error:

    Error 524: A timeout occurred

Long-running processes, such as report generation, may trigger this error unless the application is modified to return HTTP responses in the time limit.

Note

Cloud Platform subscribers can [contact Acquia Support](/service-offerings/support#contact-acquia-support) to request a timeout limit increase to a maximum of 600 seconds.
