If the following are true:

*   The contents of a view disappear randomly
*   The view is inside of a node or a block
*   And you're using the Views Reference module

Try the following:

*   For a node, change the display type.
    1.  Visit Administer, Structure, Content Types
    2.  For the content type with the Views Reference Field, in the dropdown, click "Manage display"
    3.  For the Views Reference field, select "Views reference (lazy builder)"
        *   The screen you do that at looks something like this:

*   If it's a block:
    1.  Click Administer, Structure, Block types
    2.  For the block type with the problem, in the dropdown, click "Manage display".
    3.  You should see a screen like the one above. Make the same settings change.
