Acquia Search integrates with several required and recommended Drupal modules. In addition, it uses several other modules for different use cases.

To use Acquia Search with your Drupal website, you must download, install, and enable the following recommended modules based on your installed version of Drupal:

8.x-1.14 or later

[Search API Solr](https://www.drupal.org/project/search_api_solr)

4.2.0 or later

Ensure that you use stable releases of all modules.

**Current Drupal version**

Before installing the Drupal modules needed to use Acquia Search on the [current Drupal version](/service-offerings/guide/software-life-cycle#supported-drupal-version), you must:

*   Use the specified module versions for websites running the [current Drupal version](/service-offerings/guide/software-life-cycle#supported-drupal-version). Other module combinations are not tested and might not work as intended.
*   Have [Composer](https://getcomposer.org/) to properly manage the autoloader and other files.
