Cloud Platform allows users with the _Owner_ or _Administrator_ roles in the Cloud Platform user interface to tag applications in bulk. Bulk application tagging enables you to manage many [applications’ tags](/acquia-cloud-platform/manage-apps/cloud-platform-interface/tags) simultaneously with the **Tag Manager**.

Note

Users with the _Administrator_ and _Team Lead_ roles have permission to [add](/acquia-cloud-platform/manage-apps/cloud-platform-interface/tags#cloud-app-tag-add) and [remove tags](../tags.html#cloud-app-tag-remove) from individual applications in the Cloud Platform user interface. Bulk adding tags to many applications
-------------------------------------

To bulk add a tag to many applications:

1.  [Sign in to the Cloud Platform user interface](/node/55875) as a user with the _Owner_ or _Administrator_ [role](/acquia-cloud-platform/access/teams/roles#cloud-default-roles).
2.  In the top menu, click **Develop**.
3.  Click **Manage tags**.
    
    Cloud Platform displays the **Manage Tags** in a modal window.
    
4.  In **Select an organization**, select the organization containing the applications you want to tag.
5.  In **Select applications**, select the applications you want to tag.
6.  In **Manage Tags**, click **Add Tag**.
7.  Provide a tag label that meets the [labeling requirements](/acquia-cloud-platform/manage-apps/cloud-platform-interface/tags#tags-labeling), and select a color for the tag.
8.  Click **Ok** to display the tag in the **Tags to add** section.

9.  Click **Review** if you are happy with the tag, or click the **X** on the tag to remove it.
    
    Cloud Platform displays the confirmation screen describing your proposed changes.
    
10.  Click **Submit** to save your changes.

Cloud Platform applies the new tags to the applications you selected.

Bulk removing tags from many applications
-----------------------------------------

To bulk remove a tag from multiple applications:

1.  [Sign in to the Cloud Platform user interface](/node/55875) as a user with the _Owner_ or _Administrator_ [role](/acquia-cloud-platform/access/teams/roles#cloud-default-roles).
2.  In the top menu, click **Develop**.
3.  Click **Manage tags**.
    
    Cloud Platform displays the **Manage Tags** in a modal window.
    
4.  In **Select an organization**, select the organization containing the applications you want to tag.
5.  In **Select applications**, select the applications you want to remove a tag from.
    
    In **Tags in common**, Cloud Platform displays all tags attached to every application you’ve selected.
    
6.  Click the **X** next to each tag you want to remove.
    
    Cloud Platform displays the tag in the **Tags to remove** section.

7.  Click **Review** if you are happy with your changes, or click the plus ( **+** ) sign on the tag to keep the tag.
    
    Cloud Platform displays the confirmation screen describing your proposed changes.
    
8.  Click **Submit** to save your changes.

Cloud Platform deletes the tags from the applications.

Note

Acquia can’t restore application tags that have been deleted.
