Cloud Platform monitors and reports storage usage for your File System (FS) and Database (DB) layers. Storage limits are defined by your subscription and categorized by environment type, Production and Non-Production. Storage entitlements and storage boosts --------------------------------------- Each subscription includes a contracted base amount of File System and Database storage for production and non-production environments. Your subscription includes an equal amount of FS and DB resources for production and non-production environments. If your usage exceeds these entitlements, you can increase your limits by purchasing storage boosts through your Acquia account team. * Increments: Provisions storage boosts in 100 GB units to a maximum of 1 TB for each application. * Availability: Boosts are available for both file system and database storage. Note When storage exceeds 100%, a persistent banner appears in the Cloud UI for all users. The notification remains visible until the end of the month to help your team manage storage volumes. Viewing Storage --------------- To view granular storage trends and utilization details: 1. [Sign in to the Cloud Platform user interface](https://docs.acquia.com/node/55875) and click **Manage** in the top menu. 2. Click your organization’s card. The system displays the Organizations page. 3. In the left menu, click the subscription option and select a subscription that you want to view.  The system displays the subscription overview page. 4. In the left menu, click **Storage**. The system displays the storage utilization metrics for your subscription. The usage summary cards display the current overall utilization of the database and the file system. 5. Use the **Databases** and **Files** tabs to view specific data: * Database or File storage utilization-Overall: A daily bar graph displays the total consumption for production and non-production environments. * Database or File storage by Application: A line graph displays usage across different applications in the subscription to identify which applications drive growth. * Database or File storage by Environment: A graph displays storage usage for each environment. Storage usage at the codebase, environment, and site levels is unavailable. Frequently asked questions  --------------------------- **Where do I access my storage usage?** Cloud platform user interface displays the File System (FS) and Database (DB) storage use. The system tracks this use at three levels: * Subscription level: Navigate to ****Manage****, select a subscription, and select ****Storage****. * Environment level: Displays use for applications under a subscription. * Application level: Displays use for environments that correspond to the application. **What is a Storage Boost?** This entitlement increases the storage limit in increments of 100GB for either the file system or database, up to a total limit of 1TB per application. **Does Acquia implement a hard limit that stops site features?** No. Acquia does not implement hard limits. This feature provides visibility into storage usage and lets you monitor and manage your storage volumes. **Is the feature included in the base subscription or as a paid add-on?** The base entitlement for file system and database storage is included in the base subscription, according to the contract of the customer. Storage Boost is a paid add-on. **What happens if my storage use is over the limit?** Cloud Platform user interface displays a soft alert when you approach or exceed plan limits. This ensures that you know when to manage storage volumes, as there is no impact on the application. To monitor storage use, review environments and clean up unneeded files such as forgotten log files, outdated backups, or orphaned media assets. Purchase additional storage capacity as a storage boost for the subscription if you cannot manage storage volumes and require increase in capacity. **I have cleaned up my files, but my application still requires more storage. What are my options?** If the application requires additional capacity after you optimize databases and file systems, contact your Account Manager to right-size the storage entitlement. If massive media libraries drive storage bloat, your Account Manager provides solutions designed specifically to host heavy media. **How frequently does the UI update to display storage metrics?** Total available storage data updates in Cloud UI in 24 hours after Acquia updates the system. **UI displays a warning that I exceeded my storage limit. Does Acquia charge immediately?** No immediate charges apply or service disruptions occur if the subscription exceeds contracted storage limits. Acquia recommends you to manage your storage volumes.
