It saves time and reduces the risk of using outdated files by eliminating the need to manually download assets from one system and upload them to another. Note Acquia also offers an [Asana Native Integration](/acquia-dam/asana-native-integration-automated-asset-upload-acquia-dam "Asana Native Integration for automated asset upload to Acquia DAM"), which is a background service based on actions and triggers with no user interface (UI). Asana Connector described on this page is an application that provides a UI in Asana. ### Benefits Asana Connector provides the following benefits to your team: * Saves time by enabling you to instantly search and access Acquia DAM assets from Asana. * Boosts productivity as you can store large Work-In-Progress (WIP) assets that may be too large to attach directly to Asana. * Reduces the risk of using outdated files in your projects as you always work with the current, approved assets. ### Features Asana Connector allows three core actions without exiting your Asana task: Action Description Attach Acquia DAM asset to task Search your Acquia DAM library and attach approved assets directly to your Asana task. Create new assets Create new assets in Acquia DAM with files that are already attached to your Asana task. Update asset metadata Update the metadata for an existing Acquia DAM asset directly from your Asana task. ### Searching and attaching assets 1. Use the Quick Search to search by filename, metadata, or additional attributes. This is similar to Acquia DAM search. Select the ellipses button on the right of the Acquia DAM widget. 6. Open a task in Asana. 2. Go to the project to add the connector and select **Customize**. 2. Search and select **Acquia DAM**. 4. Open a task in the same project to find the new **Acquia DAM** field. 8. Add the connector to additional projects using the same steps. ### Limitations Asana Connector has the following limitations: * Only one Acquia DAM site and one Asana workspace can be connected. * Only one asset can be attached to a single Asana task. * The Asana **Update Asset** form limits the number of fields and the options for controlled vocabulary fields. * For full asset update capabilities, visit the asset directly in the Acquia DAM.
