When there's activity that needs your attention, you'll be notified in the app, or you can receive an email about it. If you'd like, select to receive both emails and alerts. Users can choose to receive their own [alerts and emails](/acquia-dam/user-what-alerts-or-email-notifications-can-i-get "As a user, what alerts or email notifications can I get?"). A list with the type and number of alerts displays from the bell icon by your user profile. Emails include a message about the purpose of the notification and a link that will take you to the appropriate page in the Acquia DAM. Note that when you read notifications within your site, you will not receive email notifications for those assets. Select **Preferences**. 2. Check the type of notification you want to receive (either alerts, emails, or both) for [watched assets](How-do-I-watch-assets), the DAM, and any [export-related tasks](Where-can-I-export-from-in-the-Acquia-DAM). 3. Choose user- and asset-related task notifications under Admin Notification Preferences. ![Administrators can select notification preferences from user settings.](https://acquia.widen.net/content/609679cb-a329-4405-9e49-075533c53d44/web/ka0Pb0000006reL00N6g00000WDN1a0EM6g000005Lw0D.png) ### _User-related task notifications_ * Track Pending Registration Requests: A new user has submitted a registration request for your site. * Track [Users Without Roles](What-user-related-tasks-are-on-the-Admin-dashboard): There are new users without assigned roles. * Track Expired and [Expiring Users](What-user-related-tasks-are-on-the-Admin-dashboard): There are new users that will expire within seven days. * Track Unapproved Orders: Orders have been submitted that require admin approval. ### _Asset-related task notifications_ * Track Assets [Pending Delete](/acquia-dam/what-are-pending-delete-assets "What are pending delete assets?"): There are assets that could be deleted. * Track Assets Without [Categories](How-do-I-add-assets-to-categories): There are assets without categories. * Track [Unreleased Assets](How-do-I-release-and-unrelease-assets): There are new, unreleased assets. * To receive emails about unreleased assets, you must be able to review uploads for the [upload profile](/acquia-dam/how-do-i-create-upload-profiles "How do I create upload profiles?") and have permission for the asset group to which the upload profile is connected. * Track new assets: To also be notified when new assets that have been released are [uploaded](How-do-I-upload-assets), select the Track New Assets notification under General Notification Preferences. * Track [Expired Assets](/acquia-dam/what-are-expired-assets "What are expired assets?"): There are recently expired assets in [asset groups](How-do-I-create-asset-groups) that will expire within seven days. * Track Assets with [Empty Required Metadata](/acquia-dam/how-do-i-create-edit-or-remove-metadata-fields "How do I create, edit, or remove metadata fields?"): There are new assets with empty required metadata fields. * Track [Conflicted Assets](What-are-conflicted-assets): There are new conflicted assets. * Track [Lost Assets](/acquia-dam/what-asset-related-tasks-are-admin-dashboard "What asset-related tasks are on the Admin dashboard?"): There are new assets that haven't been assigned asset groups. Email notification frequencies ------------------------------ Emails are sent to you at different times when activities occur in your site.
