Yes. First, the Portals feature must also be enabled by your customer success manager.  
  
DAM admins set up [permissions](What-does-each-permission-mean) for Portals in the DAM.

*   To access and create portals, you need the Access Portals permission for the Assets app in Acquia DAM. With this permission, you can see only portals you've created and any you've been invited to edit.
    
*   To see all portals that have been created on your site – including portals users have created – and view, edit, share, duplicate, and delete those portals, you need the Administrate all Portals permission. Note that deleting a portal from the dashboard deletes it for _all_ users.
    

When sharing portals, portal creators select [security settings](/acquia-dam/how-do-i-share-portal "How do I share a portal?") that give others permission to view and download assets in portals.
