These insights can be [visualized in charts](How-do-I-view-and-export-data-in-reports) and [exported](How-do-I-export-data-in-reports) for further analysis.   Note Currently, reports contain data on asset downloads, logins, searches, shares, collection shares, uploads, some types of views, and portal page views. More report types will be released over the coming months. To create a report: 1. Click **Reports** on the Insights Dashboards page. 2. Select **Create report**. 3. Enter a name for your report. 4. Select a report type. 5. Select a date range. 6. Add filters to refine the data included in the report. This step is optional. 7. Click **Create report**. Once a report is created, anyone with the Access Insights [permission](What-does-each-permission-mean) can view it from the Reports page.   ![create-report](https://acquia.widen.net/content/978eb865-bfae-4204-9b85-4ed0e3ee0546/web/dam-create-report.png?h=480&itok=ytYA7VS9) ![collection-share](https://acquia.widen.net/content/b64207cf-ae4e-4fdd-8ffa-5b10644e7e92/web/4ef71_collection-share.png?h=480&itok=Pmeyqkwe) Report types --------------- The following 12 report types are available in Insights:  * Asset count * Asset views * Collection shares * Downloads * Embed views * Logins * Searches * Shares * Storage * Uploads * User count * Portal page views Asset views are views that happen on the Asset Details page, Asset Digest, Quick View, [share links (updated experience only)](/acquia-dam/what-are-share-links-embed-codes-and-embed-links "What are share links, embed codes, and embed links?"), and portals. The Collection shares report type provides data on how collections are shared across your organization. It shows collection sharing patterns, frequencies, and recipient information over time. You can access up to 3 years of historical data for collection shares. Embed views are views that happen from embed links, embed codes, and legacy share links. Portal page views reports show the number of times each portal page was viewed. You can group results by Portal name to identify your top performing portals. Portal page views reporting provides access to up to 3 years of data across all your portals. The share report type provides data on the number of times “an order” of assets is shared via email. This report is specifically for tracking "Order Shares." For example, if you share one asset with your coworker and then later select five assets at once and share them with another coworker, this would be two share events in Insights. To see the number of individual assets shared during each event, [export the report](How-do-I-export-data-in-reports). It will include a column showing this data.  Admins can now find out which collections are being shared frequently or infrequently. Note that Share as collection and share link views are not captured in the share report type.   Date ranges ----------- By default, the last 30 days are selected when you create a report; you can select from a number of different dynamic date range options or select a custom, static date range. Dynamic date ranges will always show the last number of days from the day you access a report. For example, last 30 days will show January 1-30 if you access it on January 31. It will show January 16-February 15 if you access it on February 16.   ![date picker](https://acquia.widen.net/content/79d8d3f3-33d6-49bc-9059-65bad542e6d1/web/ka0Pb00000066Yz00N6g00000WDN1a0EMPb000003mTu2.png) Date range Description Yesterday Data for yesterday Last 7 days Data for the previous seven days, ending with yesterday Last 30 days Data for the previous 30 days, ending with yesterday Last 60 days Data for the previous 60 days, ending with yesterday Last 90 days Data for the previous 90 days, ending with yesterday Last 6 months Data for the previous 6 whole months, ending with the final day of the last month Last 12 months Data for the previous 12 whole months, ending with the final day of the last month Current month Data for the first of the month through yesterday Year to date Data for January 1 of the current year through yesterday Custom Custom data for a custom date range you have selected.  For portal page views, up to three years of data, starting from January 1, 2021 and onward, is available in reports. For Collection shares report also provides access to 3 years of data. Reports data updates ----------------------- Report data is ingested each day at 00:00 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). After that, the data gets categorized and processed and shows up in reports in late afternoon the next day. For example, if you’re in the Central time zone and today is February 16, you won’t see data from February 15 in reports until midday on February 16.  Filters ------- By applying filters to your report, you narrow down what data is included. For example, if you choose image for the file type filter, your report will only include data for assets that are images. See all [filter types available for reports](What-filters-can-I-apply-in-Insights-reports) and how to apply them.  Analyze data ------------ Once an Insights report is created, you can [export the data to a CSV](https://community.acquia.com/acquiadam/s/article/How-do-I-export-data-in-reports) or [create charts to visualize the data](https://community.acquia.com/acquiadam/s/article/How-do-I-view-and-export-data-in-reports) the data. For portal page views, you can group and chart data by portal name to see which portals are most active over a selected period. Charts allow you to group the data so that you can analyze, for example, logins per country, downloads per week, or shares by recipient. Edit report names ----------------- If needed, users with permission can edit report names, date ranges, and filters.
