Have you ever hoped that metadata could be applied by someone else - or something else - when you or your users are uploading assets? Are your users not able to find product images in your Acquia DAM because they’re not tagged with metadata? Is it time consuming to go back and add metadata to images? If any of these ring true, an image identification and automatic tagging service can help.  
  
With image identification and auto tagging:

*   Assets are automatically tagged with metadata when they’re uploaded to the DAM
*   Uploaders don’t have as much metadata to complete
*   Images are quickly discoverable by users
*   Marketers and designers can search for imagery for their collateral using specific keywords
*   You can:
    *   Identify objects and attributes in your assets.
    *   Set automatic tagging for specific upload profiles and metadata fields (including controlled vocabulary fields with the enhanced auto-tagging service).
    *   Moderate assets and automatically delete or hide uploads with inappropriate content.

[AI Tags](/acquia-dam/how-use-ai-tags-acquia-dam "How to Use AI Tags in Acquia DAM?") are the default image identification service for new customers. It is built into Acquia DAM and provides immediate tagging at the time of upload.

Switching from Clarifai to AI Tags
----------------------------------

Existing customers using Clarifai can choose to switch to AI Tags for new uploads. Contact your customer success manager to discuss a transition plan. 

**NOTE**:  AI Tags will process new uploads, and there is currently no backfill option for existing assets.
