Acquia DAM integrates with Drupal through the Media Library. After Site Studio is configured to use the Media Library as its image or media browser, authors can explore and select assets from DAM while to build pages and components in Site Studio.

### Prerequisites

Before you begin, confirm that:

* The Acquia DAM module is enabled and configured.
* Site Studio is enabled and works on the site.

### Configure Site Studio to use Media Library as the image browser

1. In Drupal, navigate to the Site Studio system settings page through the URL.
2. Navigate to the image browser for config.
3. From the _Select the image browser to use for content on this site_, select **Media Library**.

4. Under _Media types selectable in the Media Library_, select all Acquia DAM media types you want authors to be able to insert from Site Studio components, such as:
    *   Acquia DAM image
    *   Acquia DAM video
    * Any custom Acquia DAM media type
5.  Select **Save**.

Site Studio launches Drupal's Media Library UI when authors browse or select media in supported Site Studio elements and components.

### Use Acquia DAM assets in Site Studio

2. Add or edit an element or component that supports to choose an image or media item.

3. Select the option to **Browse** or **Choose media** to open the Media Library dialog.

5. Browse or search and select an asset from Acquia DAM.
6. Insert or confirm the selection, and save the page.

### Recommended configuration patterns

To keep Site Studio authoring consistent and DAM‑friendly:

* Prioritize Site Studio fields and elements that select assets through Media Library.
* Avoid workflows that rely on local file upload‑only fields for images when you want to source assets from Acquia DAM.
