If I want to create a new collection for a portal, can I do that from directly in the portal?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No. Collections can only be created in Assets.

If I upgrade from Standard Portals to Brand Portals, can I still access the Standard Portals I created?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, you can still access and build new Standard Portals.

I created a portal and downloaded assets, but none of the metadata fields went with. Will this change?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

XMP metadata isn't embedded when assets are downloaded from a portal. We're looking to include this when we allow high-res format downloads in the future, however.

Can I put a caption below an image preview in a portal?
-------------------------------------------------------

You can allow [filenames or other metadata](What-can-be-used-for-display-names-in-portals) to display below previews within asset sections.

Do I need an Acquia DAM (Widen) account to view portals?
--------------------------------------------------------

No. If portals set to "public" are shared with you, you don't need to be a registered DAM user to view them. However, if portals are set to require login, you will not be able to view those unless you have a DAM account, and if the portals shared with you require an [access code](/acquia-dam/how-do-i-share-portal "How do I share a portal?"), the portal creator will supply that and you'll be able to access them.

Can I modify how portals display on the dashboard?
--------------------------------------------------

No, you can't choose the exact order of portals on the dashboard, but you can [search, sort, and filter](How-do-I-manage-portals) for portals from that page.

When I expire a portal, do assets in the DAM also expire?
---------------------------------------------------------

No. Only the portal is expired. The asset expiration date in your site does not change.

Can I see details, like access codes and emails, in a spreadsheet for portal views?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No.
