Some are automatically enabled for you during site implementation - active features - and others have associated costs. You can disable those that are automatically enabled and re-enable them as you need. When you enable features, you can also simultaneously enable [permissions](What-does-each-permission-mean) for [roles](How-do-I-create-roles) that can access those features. Permissions can also be [enabled](/acquia-dam/how-do-i-enable-application-permissions-roles "How do I enable application permissions for roles?") on the Roles page.
