Pending delete assets are assets that have been [deleted](How-do-I-delete-assets) by users. Pending delete assets are placed by asset group in the Pending Delete queue in the [asset-related tasks](/acquia-dam/what-asset-related-tasks-are-admin-dashboard "What asset-related tasks are on the Admin dashboard?") section of the Admin dashboard, and you can review and permanently delete or restore the assets.  
  
Pending delete assets consume storage space and are calculated as part of the storage space allowance. File sizes of asset groups display in the Pending Delete queue to help you manage your site storage and delete the largest group of pending delete assets to quickly free up space. They're also included in charts with data about storage in [Insights](/acquia-dam/what-insights-what-can-it-be-used "What is Insights? What can it be used for?").  
  
Once pending assets are deleted, they can no longer be recovered.
