Use the following steps to configure the roles that have the permission to perform specific transitions:

1.  [Access your site](/node/69836#access-a-site).
    
2.  In the left sidebar, click **Users** > **Permissions**.
3.  Locate the **Content moderation** fieldset.
4.  For each transition, specify which roles can execute it.
    
    For example:
    
    *   Editors for **Submit for review**
    *   Content reviewers for **Approve for publication**
    *   Administrators for all transitions
    
    This permission system ensures the right people are involved at each stage of the content lifecycle.
