Use the following steps to create a menu:

1.  [Access your site](/node/69836#access-a-site).
    
2.  In the left sidebar, click **Structure** > **Menus** \> **Add menu**.
3.  In the **Title** field, enter a title for the menu.
4.  In the **Administrative summary** field, enter an administrative description.
5.  Select the checkboxes for content types that can be placed in the menu.
    
    This is required if the menu is restricted to specific types of content.
    
6.  Click **Save**.
