Campaign Studio users can leverage the Twilio platform to send text (SMS) and multimedia (MMS) messages as additional ways to engage with their audiences.

Important

* To use Twilio, you must buy its subscription.

* Twilio supports sending multimedia messages only to US and Canada phone numbers.

* To receive SMS communications, contacts must have a telephone number entered in the **Phone** or **Mobile** field on their contact record.

Integrating Campaign Studio with Twilio involves the following steps:

1. [Creating an account in Twilio](#creating-an-account-in-twilio)

2. [Configuring Twilio application in Campaign Studio](#configuring-twilio-application-in-campaign-studio)
