Saved rows are reusable content blocks that users insert into emails and landing pages. Campaign Studio provides an interface to manage saved rows. From the interface, uses can:

*   View a comprehensive list of saved rows
*   Create new saved rows
*   Modify existing saved rows
*   Clone saved rows for reuse
*   Delete saved rows that are no longer needed

Accessing saved rows
--------------------

To access the list of saved rows:

1.  Log in to Campaign Studio.
2.  In the left navigation pane, click **Components**.
3.  Click **Saved Rows**.
    
    The system displays the Saved Rows list page.
    

Creating saved rows
-------------------

To create a saved row:

1.  Log in to Campaign Studio.
2.  In the left navigation pane, click **Components**.
3.  Click **Saved Rows**.
4.  On the Saved Rows list page, click **+** **New**. 
    
    The system displays the New Saved Row page.
    
5.  In the **Name** field, enter a name for the row.
    
6.  In the **Type** field, select the **Email** or **Page** type.
    
    Select the type before accessing the saved row builder. This selection determines whether the email builder or the landing page builder opens. For more information, visit [Email builder](/campaign-studio/email-builder "Email builder") and [Landing page builder](/campaign-studio/landing-page-builder "Landing page builder").
    

Note

After a saved row is created, the **Type** field is immutable. It cannot be modified during editing or cloning actions.

7.  In the **Category** field, select an existing category or create a new category.
    
    To create a new category, use the **Create New Category** option.
    

Note

The **Category** field is mandatory for saved rows.

7.  Click **Builder**. 
    
    The system opens the saved row builder.
    
8.  Add the content to the row.
    

Note

Builder content is required when creating or editing a saved row. If no content is provided, the system displays a validation message.

11.  Click **Close Builder**.
     
     The system returns to the New Saved Row page.
     
12.  Click **Save & Close**.
     
     The system displays the Saved Rows details page and adds the saved row to the Saved Rows list page.
     

Saved Rows list page
--------------------

The Saved Rows list page displays a list of existing saved rows with the following columns:

*   **Row Action:** The **Edit**, **Clone**, and **Delete** actions for each saved row. 
    
*   **Checkbox**: A checkbox at the beginning of each saved row enables users to select multiple saved rows for bulk deletion.
    
*   **Name**: The name of the saved row. Select the name to view the Saved Row details page for the saved row.
    
*   **Preview**: The preview of the content. Select the preview icon to open a preview of the saved row’s content.
    
*   **Type**: The type of the saved row to identify whether it applies to the email builder or the landing page builder.
    
*   **Category**: The category associated with the saved row.
    
*   **Is Used**: A parameter that indicates whether the saved row is used in any email or landing page. **Yes** specifies that it is used and **No** specifies that it is not used.
    
*   **Date Modified**: The date when the saved row was last modified.
    

### Searching and filtering

To filter the list, use the search box in the upper right corner. The search function supports the following commands:

*   `type:{page or email}`: Displays rows from the landing page builder or the email builder.
    
    For example, `type:email`.
    
*   `category:{category alias}`: Displays rows that belong to a specific category.
    
    For example, `category:header`.
    
*   `is:used`: Displays the rows that are currently in use.
    
*   `is:unused`: Displays the rows that are currently not in use.
    

### Editing a saved row

To edit a saved row:

1.  Log in to Campaign Studio.
2.  In the left navigation pane, click **Components**.
3.  Click **Saved Rows**.
    
    The system displays the Saved Rows list page.
    
4.  On the Saved Rows list page, locate the row that you want to edit.
    
5.  Click the arrow next to the checkbox for the row and select **Edit**.
    
    The system displays the Edit Saved Row page with preview.
    
6.  Edit the name or category of the saved row, or click **Builder** to edit the row.
    

Note

When editing, the **Type** field is immutable.

### Cloning a saved row

To clone a saved row:

1.  Log in to Campaign Studio.
2.  In the left navigation pane, click **Components**.
3.  Click **Saved Rows**.
    
    The system displays the Saved Rows list page
    
4.  On the Saved Rows list page, locate the row that you want to clone.
    
5.  Click the arrow next to the checkbox for the row and select **Clone**.
    
    The system displays the Edit Saved Row page with preview.
    
6.  Edit the name of the cloned saved row and make any other required changes.
    
7.  Click **Save & Close.**
    
    The system displays the details page of the cloned saved row.
    
8.  Click **Close** 
    
    The system displays the Saved Rows list page and adds the cloned saved row to the list,
    

Note

When cloning, the **Type** field is immutable.

### Deleting saved rows

To delete a saved row:

1.  Log in to Campaign Studio.
2.  In the left navigation pane, click **Components**.
3.  Click **Saved Rows**.
    
    The system displays the Saved Rows list page.
    
4.  To delete a single row:
    
    1.  Locate the row that you want to delete.
        
    2.  Click the arrow next to the checkbox for the row and select **Delete**.
        
5.  To delete multiple rows:
    
    1.  Select the checkboxes next to the rows that you want to delete.
        
    2.  Click the arrow next to the checkbox column header and select **Delete**.
        
6.  To select all rows on the page, select the checkbox in the table header and select **Delete**.
    
7.  Confirm the deletion.
    

Note

If a row has dependencies, the system requires confirmation before deletion.

Saved Row details page
----------------------

The Saved Row details page provides comprehensive information about a specific saved row and its usage.

To view the details of a saved row:

1.  Log in to Campaign Studio.
2.  In the left navigation pane, click **Components**.
3.  Click **Saved Rows**.
    
    The system displays the Saved Rows list page
    
4.  On the Saved Rows list page, select the name of the row for which you want to view the details. 
    
    The system displays the Saved Row details page.
    

The Saved Row details page includes the following sections:

*   **Details**: Displays metadata including **Type**, **Category**, **Created by**, **Created on**, **Modified by**, **Last modified**, **ID**, and the **Number of connected emails or pages**.
    
*   **Preview**: Displays the preview of the saved row content.
    
*   **Connected Items**: Lists the specific emails or landing pages that utilize the saved row, including:
    
    *   For emails: The name, email subject, and ID.
        
    *   For landing pages: The name, alias, and ID.

-------------

For Campaign Factory customers, saved rows are available as a Resource Type in:

*   [Instance Templates](/campaign-studio/add-ons/campaign-factory/instance-templates "Instance templates")
    
*   [Golden Templates](/campaign-studio/add-ons/campaign-factory/golden-template "Golden Template")
    

This enables users to copy Saved Rows as independent resources.

Note

Saved Rows do not lock in the child instance after a Golden Template sync.
