This page provides information about how to use the Pinterest outbound connector feature for the following scenario:

*   Marketers and data analysts aim to efficiently create, manage, and synchronize audiences through Customer Data Platform (CDP) for Pinterest advertising to transform manual processes and enhance campaign efficiency.

Integrating the Pinterest connector in a native CDP-hosted setup
----------------------------------------------------------------

1.  [Sign in to the CDP user interface](/customer-data-platform/sign-and-password-reset "Sign in and password reset").
    
2.  Click **Integrations > Output Connectors.**
    
3.  Click **Add Integration**.
    
4.  On the Destination page, select **PinterestConnector**.

5.  Click **Next**.
    
6.  On the Basic Information page, provide a name and description for your connector.

7.  Click **Next**.
    
8.  On the Credentials page, click **Connect**.
    
    The system redirects you to your Pinterest Business Account portal.

    On the Pinterest Business Account portal, the app displays the information that it will access from you.
    
9.  Check the information and click **Give access** to grant the necessary permissions.
    
    After successful connection, the system redirects you to the CDP user interface and displays the status as **Connected**.

10.  Select your Pinterest Ad Account to finalize the connector.
11.  Click **Publish** to activate the connector.
12.  Notify your marketing team that it is ready for use.

Configuring content fields in Campaigns+
----------------------------------------

1.  Navigate to **Actions > Campaigns+**.
2.  Proceed to [Step 5 in the Campaign Builder](/customer-data-platform/using-content "Using content") to configure columns. 
    
    You must only select email fields to enable downstream data transfer to the Pinterest channel. 
    
3.  Click **Next**.

Verifying the Pinterest connector in the destination in Campaigns+
------------------------------------------------------------------

Any integration setup created is visible in Actions.

1.  Proceed to [Step 6 in the Campaign Builder](/customer-data-platform/using-content "Using content") to add a destination channel.
2.  On the Destination(s) page, click **Add new destination channel**.
    
    CDP displays a list of destinations that are configured for your environment.
    
3.  Enter keywords in the search bar and apply the category filter to locate and refine the list of options.
4.  To find your configured integration, enter _Your Integration Name_ in the search field.
    
    CDP displays your configured integration in the search results.
    
5.  To verify the Pinterest integration, ensure it aligns with your intended setup.
    
    Confirm that all required parameters and settings are correctly applied before proceeding.
    

Verifying the CDP audience in Pinterest
---------------------------------------

1.  Proceed to [Step 7 in the Campaign Builder](/customer-data-platform/summary "Summary") to start a test campaign.
2.  Click **Send Now**.
    
    Important
    
    As a requirement from Pinterest, the campaign must have a minimum of 100 records.
    
3.  Access your Pinterest Business Account and select the Ads Account that is linked to CDP.
4.  Select **Business Manager** and click **Assets** > **Audience**. 
    
    If you have a shared audience, click **go to Audience**.
    
5.  Track the progress of the campaign within Pinterest.
    
    The data is displayed in the **Audience** section with the same name as the campaign. Some campaigns may take up to 48 hours to process because of Pinterest's policies and API rate limits.
