Supported Drupal version
------------------------

Note

For more information about Acquia's scope for Drupal support, visit [Drupal Support Scope](/service-offerings/drupal-support-scope "Drupal Support Scope").

Acquia reserves the right to retire support for certain versions of the supported applications. As a standard, Acquia will support the current major and minor versions of Drupal supported by the Drupal community as defined in the [Drupal Core Release Cycle Schedule](https://www.drupal.org/about/core/policies/core-release-cycles). This ensures that Customers receive the best possible support and are able to take advantage of the latest features and security enhancements in the software.

Note

Acquia no longer provides security support for Drupal 7. However, Acquia recognizes that not all customers could migrate their Drupal 7 applications to a later version by November 30, 2025, and is committed to ensuring that the platform remains compatible with Drupal 7 for a reasonable period of time, while our customers transition to a newer Drupal version. Therefore, Acquia has partnered with HeroDevs to offer their Never-Ending Support (NES) service for Drupal 7. This program ensures that Drupal 7 applications receive any and all security updates. While purchasing this offering is not mandatory for customers, Acquia strongly recommends it as it provides a clear, official path to remain on Drupal 7 safely while they plan their migration. For more information about this offering, visit [https://www.herodevs.com/support/nes-drupal](https://www.herodevs.com/support/nes-drupal).

As we continue to implement new products and services and upgrade Cloud Platform, we will implement EOL deadlines that may require action on your part. For specific information about software versions and upgrade plans, see the [Software end-of-life schedule](/service-offerings/eol).

Supported software environments
-------------------------------

### Acquia-hosted environments

In all cases, applications hosted on Cloud Platform, Cloud Platform Enterprise, and Site Factory will run on supported software environments. Acquia maintains these environments and will notify Customers when we require a change to the underlying software due to an end-of-life notification. In those cases, we will provide Customers with advance notice prior to upgrading our systems. For the current list of supported software and versions for Acquia-managed environments, see [Cloud Platform technology platform and supported software](/acquia-cloud-platform/architecture/tech-platform).

### Customer-hosted environments

This includes environments hosted by the Customer or any non-Acquia third party. Acquia strongly recommends that Customers maintain current and supported versions of all the software required to run their website. Acquia does not place any restrictions on which non-Drupal software and versions that Customer run in self-hosted environments. The Acquia Support Subscription does not cover support, configuration, or installation advice for any non-Drupal application. The Customer must retain adequate resources and expertise to support and manage the non-Drupal applications and access key logs (or any other items) that are required for diagnostic activities. Acquia [does not troubleshoot issues in locally-hosted development environments](/node/57204#local-env).
