Introduction
------------

This article provides information on how to locate and address accessibility issues with the web browser extension.

Locate accessibility issues
---------------------------

1.  Open the website and activate the web browser extension. The extension toolbar opens.
2.  Click **Content Issues** (the insect icon).
    
    The _Content Issues_ pane opens.
    
    1.  In the _Accessibility_ section, in the same column as a failing check, click **See Issues**. The details pane opens. An icon indicates the type of issue.
        *   Errors (insect icon)
            
            These are content issues such as HTML snippets that are not compliant. These issues can only be fixed with a change to the source code.
            
        *   Warnings (bell icon)
            
            These issues need to be reviewed manually.
            
        *   Reviews (eye icon)
            
            These issues cannot be tested by the software and therefore need to be reviewed manually.
            

Note

When you do a **Review**, the “Mark as Fixed” designation should only be used if the code snippet has been repaired on the HTML for the page. If it is not fixed properly, the line of code is re-flagged on the next scan. If it is not possible to repair the issue in the code, mark the issue as “Review” instead.

Address accessibility issues
----------------------------

This section provides next steps on how to do a review of accessibility issues and how to find information about how to repair each issue.

1.  Identify the issue as per the steps in the previous section.
2.  Review the issue to determine if it is an actual issue. For step-by-step instructions on how to review accessibility issues with the web browser extension and the Web Governance application, visit [How to review an accessibility issue](/node/59486).
3.  When an issue requires attention, click **Accessibility Guide** within the extension. You are redirected to a step-by-step guide which includes instructions, examples, and everything needed to resolve each of the issues that the scan identifies.
