Introduction
------------

Web Governance Heatmaps provides a warm-to-cold color overlay that shows you exactly how your visitors interact with your pages. Use them to identify problem areas and make targeted improvements to ensure a better visitor experience. 

Choose between 3 different heat map types:

*   **Move**: Shows where desktop visitors moved across the page with the mouse.
*   **Click**: Shows the points on the page where visitors tapped or clicked.
*   **Scroll**: Shows how far visitors scrolled down the pages.

Web Governance Heatmaps requires the script. For instructions, read [How to add the script](/node/60216).

This collection provides information about the Heatmaps data. Use the menu on the left to read more articles in this collection.

Navigation
----------

1.  Log in to your Web Governance account.
2.  Click **Heatmaps** on the main navigation bar.

Landing page
------------

The Heatmaps dashboard has these features:

*   View options:
    *   **Table View**
    *   **Grid View**
*   A listing for each page tracked by Heatmaps. 
    *   **Page name**
    *   **Domain link**
    *   **Page link**
    *   **Inspect page with browser extension** (magnifying glass icon)
    *   **Search for pages**
    *   **Delete**

User actions
------------

You can do these actions on the page:

*   Select a view option:
    *   **Table View**
    *   **Grid View**
*   A listing for each page tracked by Heatmaps. 
    *   **Domain link**: Click the link to navigate to the domain.
    *   **Page link**: Click the link to navigate to the page.
    *   **Inspect page with browser extension** (magnifying glass icon): Click the icon to open the Heatmap on the Web Browser Extension.
    *   **Search for pages**: Find a page on the domain.
    *   **Delete**: Click to delete the Heatmap tracking for the page.
