Answer

When the scan of your domain is changed from one accessibility guideline to another or due to an update, a dashed orange line appears on your compliance score charts. This indicates that the results of the success criteria for the new method are measured by a different standard, and the pass/fail criteria of the two methods may impact your compliance score. The guideline you have switched to may have more, different, or fewer checks than the previous one. The checks may be categorized differently, and may use a different set of guidelines.

To help you, your colleagues, and stakeholders to clearly understand the point when your organization switched to the new guideline, an orange line is  automatically added to your charts. This makes it clear exactly when the switch happened and why you may see a change in your compliance score.

The text on the annotation indicates the new guideline version and level.

### When do the orange annotations show?

An annotation shows on the bar of the first scan on your new guideline.

### **Example**

January 29, your domain scan was done with the WCAG 2.1 guideline.

February 15, you switched from WCAG 2.1 to WCAG 2.2.

February 21, your domain scan was done with the WCAG 2.2 guideline.

In this case, your compliance charts would show an entry for the scan that was done on January 29, and another for the scan that was done on February 21. The orange annotation shows on the February 21 entry.

### Where can I find the annotations?

The orange annotations appear on the compliance charts in the Accessibility module, as well as in the Accessibility section of the History Center.
