Introduction
------------

Acquia Web Governance accessibility checks are done by the scan. There are two types of accessibility checks:

* **Automated**: This category contains failed checks as determined by the scan. Issues of this type are confirmed errors that must be fixed.
* **Assisted**: This category contains checks that the program was unable to verify. Issues of this type are potential errors, and a human must make the final evaluation.

This document provides instructions on how to review both types of accessibility issues.

Note

Reviewing an issue means that you examine it to determine whether or not it can or should be fixed. Previously, it was possible to set a specific issue to 'Reviewed'. This option is gone from the updated module.

Manually review an issue from within Web Governance
---------------------------------------------------

1. Navigate to the _Domain Overview_ page and select the domain you want to work with. The system opens the domain dashboard.
2. Select **Accessibility** (an icon of a human with outstretched arms) on the domain menu bar.
3. Use the side menu to select your preferred issue view, then select each issue and examine it as per the instructions in the linked Accessibility Guide article. If you determine that the issue needs to be fixed, follow the steps provided in the Accessibility Guide article to repair the issue.

Note

Use the _Ignore_ options only if you are sure that the marked issue is not an error or if it cannot be fixed. Your compliance score adjusts accordingly. Evaluate the issue thoroughly before you instruct the scan to ignore it.

Review issues in bulk
---------------------

Follow the steps above to identify and investigate issues that are recurring across your website. If you determine that an issue needs to be fixed, make the needed changes. Use the option in Fast track to **Mark as fixed on all pages** option to mark this issue as fixed on all pages of your website.

For more information, visit [Accessibility Fast track - Limited Access](/node/96806).

Important

Use this option when you are sure that this line of code is exactly the same everywhere that it occurs, and only after you fix the issue everywhere that it occurs in the HTML code.  If it is not fixed properly, the line of code is re-flagged on the next scan.
