Statistics dashboard
--------------------

This section provides instructions on how to navigate to the **Statistics** feature and understand the information that the dashboard displays.

1.  Locate the **Statistics** section on the domain Dashboard and click to open it, or click **Statistics** (the broken pie chart icon) on the page toolbar.

    Alternatively, click **Statistics** (pie chart icon) on the domain menu bar for your domain.

    The system opens the _Statistics_ landing page.
    
2.  Click the date on the upper right side of the page to change the view to a specific date span.

### Summary

The Statistics _Summary_ section displays the following data:

*   **Statistics overview**

    The graph view provides an overview of changes over time for the following information:
    
    *   **Average visit time**: This figure is the average length of time that users spent on the page for the date interval (default setting is 30 days).
    *   **Bounce rate**: This figure is the percentage of visitors that bounce (the visitor entered the site and then left, and did not continue to view other pages within the same site).
    *   **Visitor overview**: Click the _Visitor Overview_ link at the bottom of the section for a summary of visitor technology.

### Most visited pages

The Statistics _Most visited pages_ section displays an overview of the page traffic, sorted high to low per amount of traffic on the page.

The chart displays the following fields:

*   **Page URL**: The URL of the page.
*   **Visitors**: This figure is the total number of unique visitors to the page for the date interval (default setting is 30 days).
*   **Page views**: The number of times this page was visited (default setting shows for the last 30 days).
*   **Most visited pages**: Select the link to navigate to the _Most Popular Pages_ page.

### Traffic Sources

This section displays an overview of the page traffic sources.

The summary chart displays the visual breakdown of traffic sources. The sources are sorted over the past 30 days and include:

*   **Total traffic sources**: This figure shows the source that visitors use to access the site.
    *   Search engines: The number of visitors that arrive from search engine results/searches.
    *   Direct visits: The number of visitors that arrive by typing the URL into their web browser address bar.
    *   Referring visits: The number of visitors that arrive from other website domains. This is the same as External Referring Domains.
    *   Social visits: The number of visitors that arrive from social media networks.
    *   Campaign visits: The number of visitors that arrive from campaign links such as newsletters, ads, or pop-ups.
*   Select **Traffic Sources** at the bottom of the section for more details.

### Most frequent

The _Most frequent_ section displays an overview of the most frequent method that users accessed the page with.

The data tracked is:

*   **Location** (country): Geographical physical location of the visitor.
*   **Device**: The devices that the visitors accessed the page with.
*   **Browser**: The browsers used most frequently by site visitors, along with the number of visits, bounce rates, actions per visit, and average time spent on the page.
*   **Operating system**: The operating systems that the visitors browsed the page with.
*   **Resolution**: The screen resolutions that visitors used most frequently to view the site, along with the number of visits, bounce rates, actions per visit, and average time spent on the page. Change the view to a bubble or donut chart.
*   **Language**: The language of the device that the visitor used.
*   **Visitor overview**: Click the link for more detailed information about the technology that the visitors browsed the page with.

Side menu options
-----------------

The menu on the anding page side bar offers options to view specific statistics that are tracked.

*   Summary: This is the landing page, as covered in the previous section of this document.
*   Content
*   Traffic Sources
*   Entry and Exit Pages
    *   Entry: Number of visits that started on this page.
    *   Exit: Number of pages that the users exited from.

### Content

Select **Content** from the side menu.

The menu expands with the following options:

#### Most popular pages

Select this option for a detailed view of the page URLs with the most views. See which pages have the most visitors. The chart at the top shows the exact number of page visits, while the chart underneath shows the number rounded to the nearest thousand.

#### Least popular pages

Select this option to navigate to the _Least Popular Pages_ page for a detailed view of the page URLs with the least number of views.

The information that is displayed includes:

*   **URL:** The URL for the page.
*   **Visits:** The number of visits that included this page. If a page was viewed multiple times during one visit, it is only counted once.
*   **PageViews:** The number of times this page was visited (default setting shows for the last 30 days).
*   **Average Time**: The average amount of time spent on the page.

#### Most downloads

Select this option to navigate to the _Most Downloads_ page for a detailed view of the documents that visitors downloaded most.

#### Pages without visits

Select this option to navigate to the _Pages without Visits_ page for a detailed view of the pages on the site with no visitor traffic.

The information shown is:

*   **URL**: The web address for the page.
*   **Visits**: The number of visits that included this page. If a page was viewed multiple times during one visit, it is only counted once.

#### Docs without downloads

Select this option to navigate to the _Documents without Downloads_ page for a detailed view of the documents that 0 visitors have downloaded.

The information that is displayed includes:

*   **URL:** The web address for the page.
*   **Visits**: The number of visits that included this page. If a page was viewed multiple times during one visit, it is only counted once.

#### Events

Select this option to view user interactions with specific page elements, for example the number of clicks on a button or link.

#### Site Search

Select this option for insight into what visitors search for when they use the search feature on your website. Track the actions that visitors take, if any, after they perform a search.

### Traffic sources

The menu expands with the following options:

*   Traffic sources summary
*   Search engines
*   Social networks
*   External referring domains.

#### Traffic sources summary

Select **Traffic Sources Summary**  from the Traffic Sources sub menu.

The summary shows an overview of traffic sources over the past 30 days.

*   **Referring information**: This chart displays external referring domains.
*   Click **External Referees Overview** for more detailed information.

#### Search engines

Select **Search Engines** from the Traffic Sources sub menu.

The chart displays search engines that visitors used for entry to the site.

Click **Search Engines Overview** for more detailed information.

#### Social Networks

Select **Social Networks**  from the Traffic Sources sub menu.

The chart displays details about the social networks that visitors used for entry to the site.

Select **Social Network Overview** for more detailed information.

#### External Referring Domains

Select **External Referring Domains**  from the Traffic Sources sub menu.

The chart displays a list of external referring domains. These are tracked when the user clicks on a link to your domain from an external website. Click **External Referees Overview** for more detailed information.

### Entry and Exit pages

Select **Entry and Exit pages** from the side menu.

The menu expands with the following options:

*   Entry pages
*   Exit pages
*   Bounce rates

#### Entry pages

Select **Entry Pages** from the Entry and Exit Pages sub menu.

This page provides a detailed view of the first page that visitors viewed on the site. This is most often the landing page of the site.

By default, the report is organized by the number of visitors over a 30-day period.

_Tip!_ Use the date-picker to select a start and end date for the chart to show.

#### Exit pages

Select **Exit Pages** from the Entry and Exit Pages sub menu.

This page provides a detailed breakdown of the last page that a visitor viewed before they left the site.

It also provides information about the number of visitors who exited from each individual page.

#### Bounce rates

Select **Bounce Rates** from the Entry and Exit Pages sub menu.

This page provides a detailed view of the percentage of visitors that bounce (the visitor entered the site and then left, rather than continuing to view other pages within the same site).

### Visitors

Select **Visitors** from the side menu.

*   The list expands with the following options:
    *   Visitors Summary
    *   Locations
    *   Language
    *   Organizations
    *   Devices
    *   Browsers
    *   Operating Systems
    *   Screen Resolutions.

#### Visitors summary

Select **Visitors summary** from the Visitors sub menu.

The sections display the following overviews:

*   Your user's technology
    *   **Devices**: The devices that the visitors accessed the page with, for example, laptop/desktop/smartphone.

#### Locations

The pie chart displays the following information:

*   **Total Visits**: The number of visits that included this page. If a page was viewed multiple times during one visit, it is only counted once.
*   **Total Visitors**: Total number of unique visitors to the page.
*   **Page Views**: Total number of times the page was viewed.
*   **Average Visit Time**: Average amount of time spent on the page.
*   **Bounce Rate**: The percentage of visitors who left the site from this page.
*   **Location of visitors (country)**: Shown by colors in the pie chart as well as in a list below the pie chart that displays the percentage of total visitors from each location.

The data is further broken down and presented in the section below the chart:

*   **Name**: The name of the location (country).
*   **Visits**: The number of visits that included this page. If a page was viewed multiple times during one visit, it is only counted once from each location.
*   **Bounce Rate**: The percentage of visitors from each location who exited the site from this page.
*   **Actions per Visit**: The number of actions from each location that were done on the page.
*   **Average Time**: The average amount of time spent on the page by each location.

#### Language

Select **Language** from the Visitors sub menu.

The _Languages_ page opens.

The pie chart provides the following information:

*   **Name**: The name of the language. Language is determined first by IP address and then by geo-location.
*   **Visits**: The number of visits that included this page. If a page was viewed multiple times during one visit, it is only counted once from each language group.
*   **Bounce Rate**: The percentage of visitors from each language group who exited the site from this page.
*   **Actions per Visit**: The number of actions from each language group that were done on the page.
*   **Average Time**: The average amount of time spent on the page by each language group.

#### Organizations

Select **Organizations** from the Visitors sub menu.

The chart provides a breakdown of visitors to the site who used a registered IP address from an external organization.

*   **Name**: The name of the organization, as determined by IP address.
*   **Visits**: The number of visits that included this page. If a page was viewed multiple times during one visit, it is only counted once from each organization.
*   **Bounce Rate**: The percentage of visitors from each organization who exited the site from this page.
*   **Actions per Visit**: The number of actions from each organization that were done on the page.
*   **Average Time**: The average amount of time spent on the page by each organization.

#### Devices

Select **Devices** from the Visitors sub menu.

The system opens the _Devices_ page.

The chart provides the following:

*   **Name**: The name of the type of device used to access the page.
*   **Visits**: The number of visits that included this page. If a page was viewed multiple times during one visit, it is only counted once from each type of device.
*   **Bounce Rate**: The percentage of visitors from each type of device who exited the site from this page.
*   **Actions per Visit**: The number of actions from each type of device that were done on the page.
*   **Average Time**: The average amount of time spent on the page by each type of device.

#### Browsers

Select **Browsers** from the Visitors sub menu.

The chart displays the following information:

*   **Name**: The name of the type of browser used to access the page.
*   **Visits**: The number of visits that included this page. If a page was viewed multiple times during one visit, it is only counted once from each type of browser.
*   **Bounce Rate**: The percentage of visitors from each type of browser who exited the site from this page.
*   **Actions per Visit**: The number of actions from each type of browser that were done on the page.
*   **Average Time**: The average amount of time spent on the page by each type of browser.

#### Operating Systems

Select **Operating Systems** from the Visitors sub menu.

The system opens the _Operating Systems_ page.

The chart provides the following information:

*   **Name**: The name of the operating system used to access the page.
*   **Visits**: The number of visits that included this page. If a page was viewed multiple times during one visit, it is only counted once from each type of operating system.
*   **Bounce Rate**: The percentage of visitors from each type of operating system who exited the site from this page.
*   **Actions per Visit**: The number of actions from each type of operating system that were done on the page.
*   **Average Time**: The average amount of time spent on the page by each type of operating system.

#### Screen Resolutions

Select **Screen Resolutions** from the Visitors sub menu.

The _Screen Resolutions_ page opens.

The chart provides the information:

*   **Pixels**: The pixel resolution is on the left side of the chart.
*   **Name**: The screen resolution on the device that was used to access the page.
*   **Visits**: The number of visits that included this page. If a page was viewed multiple times during one visit, it is only counted once from each type of screen resolution.
*   **Bounce Rate**: The percentage of visitors from each type of screen resolution who exited the site from this page.
*   **Actions per Visit**: The number of actions from each type of screen resolution that were done on the page.
*   **Average Time**: The average amount of time spent on the page by each type of screen resolution.

*   Statistics reports
    ------------------
    

This section provides information about the report for the _Statistics_ feature.

The report is delivered to the email addresses for the users assigned to receive this report.  The available report for the Statistics feature is:

*   Pages Without Visits Report

### Receive the report

*   Select **Schedule This Report** (calendar icon) on the same row as the report to receive the report as an email attachment. Multiple selection is allowed. Refer to the _Schedule a report_ section in this document for instructions.
*   Select **Open Report** (eye icon) to view the most recent report. Refer to the _View a report_ section in this document for instructions.
*   Select **Report Administration** (gear icon) to add other users to receive the report. Refer to the _Add users to receive a report_ section in this document for instructions.
