    *   **All**
    *   **Unwanted**
    *   **Required**

Policies for placeholder text
-----------------------------

With either of the methods above, continue with these steps:

1.  Click **Add new policy**.
2. Select a pre-made placeholder text policy from the list. The most common pre-programmed placeholder text policies are:
    * Text that starts with Lorem ipsum

        Finds any text that starts with “Lorem ipsum” (the placeholder text). Helps to spot any overlooked areas where the actual content is missing.

        Most likely policy type: _Unwanted_

        Subject: _HTML pages_

Add a policy
------------

There are three ways to add new policies, for each method follow the links provided:

* For instructions on how to add a pre-made policy, read [How to add pre-made policies](/node/58771).
* For instructions on how to create a custom policy, read [How to create custom policies](/node/58751).
* For instructions on how to use the AI-assisted policy creator, read [How to create AI-assisted policies](/node/99776).

Example
-------

This section gives a common example for a placeholder text policy.

### Lorem ipsum

This is the simplest of placeholders to set up a policy for. To make this policy, check the _RegEx_ and clear the _Case sensitive_ box and enter the following in the _Query_ field:

    Lorem ipsum

Insert \[something\] here

This policy finds every page or document that contains a phrase that contains the word ''insert'', 1-3 other words, and the word ''here''. Examples of what would be found include:

*   "Insert heading here"
* "Insert summary or text here"

To make this policy, check the _RegEx_, clear the _Case sensitive_ box, and then enter the following in the _Query_ field:

    Insert(\s*\w+\s*){1,3}here

Adjustments:

* This example matches between 1 and 3 words between "insert" and "here". Change the numbers in {1,3} to other values as needed.
