Introduction
------------

The Acquia Source CMS comes with the Web Governance module for Acquia Source pre-installed. This module enables you to run quick scans from the Drupal Canvas user interface in Acquia Source.

This article provides instructions for Acquia Source users on how to initiate a scan with this feature.

Prerequisites
-------------

*   The user has access to Acquia Source.
    

How to initiate the Quick Scan
------------------------------

This section provides instructions for authorized users on how to do an Web Governance Quick Scan with Acquia Source.

1.  Access your site in Acquia Source.
2.  On the top right, click **Edit** to open Drupal Canvas.
3.  Navigate to the page that you want to scan.
4.  In the toolbar on the left, click the **Extensions** icon.
5.  Click **Web Governance**.
6.  Select **Start Quick Scan**.
    
    The system displays a progress bar to show the progress of the scan render task. When finished, the results are loaded and the rendered page is sent to the Web Governance API for the scan.
    
7.  When the module receives the results, view them summarized on the Drupal Canvas sidebar in the following categories:
    *   **Accessibility**: Issues are summarized by guideline level (WCAG 2.1 A, WCAG 2.1 AA)

    *   **Readability**: Issues are shown as a level, mapped from the resulting score.

8.  Click **View Issues** to view the list of issues and the number of occurrences of each issue on the page.
9.  Click the link to the Web Governance [user documentation](/web-governance/overview "Overview") to view the user documentation.
10.  Re-scan the page as needed.
