We have improved the accuracy of the uptime monitoring feature's downtime detection. It now performs more rigorous checks to verify whether a single failed ping happened because the site is actually down or for another reason. If you have enabled email notification of uptime events, this may mean that you receive fewer notifications due to reduction of false positives.

This change does not affect the way uptime monitoring data is displayed on the Insight Site Health graph.

The Acquia user interface was updated on July 28 with the following new feature:

Site page redesign

We've redesigned the Acquia Sites page. The new Sites page loads faster and has a cleaner, more compact design, which makes it easier to find the site you want to work with, especially if you have a large number of sites in your Acquia subscriptions.

The Sites page

You can dynamically filter sites by name. This replaces the former site filtering functionality. You can easily click through to the Insight, Cloud Workflow, and Search user interfaces for the site you want to work with. For more information, see Managing your sites.

Mon, 28 Apr 2014

The Acquia Network was updated on April 28 with the following new features and enhancements:

  • Teams and permissions

The Acquia teams and permissions feature, previously in beta, is now generally available. It enables you to control who in your organization has access to the tools you use to manage your websites. Using teams and permissions in the Acquia Network, you can:

    • Create teams of developers.
    • Assign roles to team members.
    • Give teams access to your Acquia Network sites.
    • Modify roles, specifying over 40 different permissions available in each role. There are separate permissions for production and non-production environments, so you can limit which team members can perform operations on your production site.
    Learn more.
  • Contacts can be removed, but not disabled

The primary contact of an Acquia subscription can add or remove a contact, but cannot disable a contact. Learn more about contacts. Acquia recommends using the teams and permissions feature instead of the legacy contacts system for managing users and their access to your Acquia subscription.
