Requesting special accommodations for exams¶¶
Acquia can provide special accommodations for exams for those who need them.
To request a specific accommodation, you must first register for an exam, which includes creating a ProctorU account. After creating a ProctorU account, send an email with your full name and the requested accommodation to: [email protected]. An exam administrator will add requested accommodations to your user account, rather than to a specific exam, so you only need to request them once.
When you take an exam, your proctor will see any accommodations they need to provide for you.
Accommodation examples¶¶
- Speaking/reading aloud
- Restroom breaks
- Text-to-speech programs (we officially support: JAWS, VoiceOver for Mac, and Narrator for Windows)
- Speech-to-text programs (extension-based applications are not supported)

- Personal external medical devices
- Human assistant for the exam such as a scribe or reader
- Food permitted
- Screen magnifier (extension-based applications are not supported)
- Permitted background noise
- English as a second language (This is helpful for exam proctors to know, even if ProctorU does not provide direct support in your native language.)
