Recently, Drupal.org published an announcement that Drupal 7.x end of life has been extended to 5 January 2025. Acquia will continue to provide platform support for Drupal 7.x through November 2025.
Who is eligible for Drupal 7 Extended Platform Support?
Acquia will continue to keep our platform compatible with Drupal 7 through November 2025. During this time any customer running a Drupal 7.x application on Acquia Cloud will continue to be supported. Acquia will also continue to offer PHP 7.4 (via our LTS program) through this timeframe.
Will diagnostic support continue to be available on Acquia Cloud?
Acquia Support will provide diagnostic support for Drupal 7.x to customers with Drupal 7.x applications for as long as Drupal 7.x is compatible with the Acquia Cloud platform. For specifics on the scope of coverage see the Support Users Guide.
Is there an extra cost to receiving Diagnostic Support for Drupal 7 after Drupal.org’s End-Of-Life date?
There will be no premiums, special subscriptions, or special offers required for customers to receive Drupal 7.x diagnostic support. Diagnostic Support will be provided to all customers who are running a version of Drupal supported on and compatible with Acquia Cloud.
Customers will be responsible for maintaining forward compatibility of custom modules and infrequently used contributed modules if changes to those modules are required to maintain compatibility with Drupal 7 itself or with Acquia’s platform.
