Acquia Edge Powered by Akamai

Acquia Edge Powered by Akamai is a partnership with Akamai behind our Acquia Edge solution to provide the following services:

  • Edge CDN: Provides a highly customizable, globally load balanced content delivery network (CDN) so that visitors can interact with your application at the fastest possible speeds, irrespective of their location. Edge CDN accelerates application delivery and mobile experiences, and also ensures availability by avoiding bottlenecks and overloaded servers.

  • Edge Web Application & API Protection (WAAP): Delivers enterprise-grade security, including a Web Application Firewall (WAF) and DDoS mitigation, to secure applications from malicious attacks and protect digital experiences. It secures your application with protection against distributed denial of service (DDOS) attacks and web application attacks with an enterprise-grade security solution that examines web traffic looking for suspicious activities.

  • Edge Bot Manager: Provides an added layer onto Edge Security, enabling you to gain heightened visibility and control of bot traffic to your digital experiences. A flexible framework to better manage the wide array of bots accessing their websites every day. Identify bots as they first arrive, categorize different types of bots, and apply the most appropriate management policy for each category. Edge Bot Management includes Edge WAAP and Edge CDN.
