Can I use Symfony Mailer with Platform Email?

Yes. Symfony Mailer is compatible with Platform Email. However, you must update the following code in the sites/default/settings.php file:

$settings['mailer_sendmail_commands'] = [
   '/usr/sbin/sendmail -t'
];
