Domain status on Acquia Cloud shows "DNS does not resolve" for a domain

Issue
You have added a new custom domain on Acquia Cloud and while checking the domain on Acquia Cloud UI at - Environment -> Domains -> Status shows "DNS does not resolve"
Resolution
This error can occur, if the domain has been added on Acquia Cloud, but no DNS record has been created. Please confirm if a DNS record has been created and then check the domain status on Acquia Cloud again to see if "DNS resolves to Acquia".
