Why, when navigating to my balancer IP in the browser, do I not see a website?

Sometimes during testing you may try to use your balancer IP address to view your website, but instead see the below:
Web Site Not Found
Sorry, we could not find any content for this web address. Please check the URL.
If you are an Acquia Cloud customer and expect to see your site at this address, you'll need to add this domain name to your site via the Acquia Network management console.
This because, to view a site you will need to use it's associated domain name (either the default example.prod.acquia-sites.com domain, or your own custom domain) which is viewable from your 'Domains' page in the Acquia Cloud UI.
