How To Disconnect and Reconnect Your Acquia Cloud application to BitBucket
Issue¶
Your Acquia Cloud application is unable to start Acquia Pipelines jobs and you've recently received a notice that Acquia has updated the credentials that connect your BitBucket repository to your Acquia Cloud application.
Cause¶
We use internal systems to link your Atlassian BitBucket repository to your Acquia Cloud application. These repositories are used in conjunction with Acquia Pipelines.
When you connect your Acquia Cloud application to your BitBucket repository, your credentials that link your repository to your Acquia Cloud application are used to perform various actions through BitBucket's API. These actions include listing a specific user's repositories, listing branches, and creating web hooks.
As a best practice, Acquia will occasionally need to refresh the credentials used to link your application to your Atlassian BitBucket version control repository in conjunction with Acquia Pipelines. When this occurs, customers will be unable to start Acquia Pipelines jobs for the affected application until they disconnect and reconnect their application.
Resolution¶
To disconnect and reconnect your application, you can follow these steps:
- Sign in to your Acquia Cloud subscription.
- Access your Pipelines tab. Click on "configure" then select Acquia as your source repository.
- This will switch your application from your BitBucket repository to your Acquia repository.
- Then follow the instructions in our article, "Connecting pipelines to your Bitbucket repo" to reconnect your application to BitBucket.
