Do I need to do any additional configurations with the Drupal WYSIWYG editor to allow new media types?

You must configure the WYSIWYG editor to allow all new media types. To do this:

• Go to the Configuration page /admin/config in Drupal.
• In the Content authoring section, select Text formats and editors /admin/config/content/formats.
• For each of the text formats that use Media Library, select Configure and go to the Filter settings section.
• Under Embed media, go to the section labeled Media types selectable in the Media Library. Select the new media types you want to allow in the WYSIWYG editor.
