Acquia DAM

FAQs and troubleshooting

This page provides FAQs and troubleshooting information for common issues related to the Acquia DAM module with Entity Browser support.

If I switch to a previous version of an asset in DAM, will the asset be automatically updated in the Drupal Media Library?

No. If you select a previous version of an asset in DAM and select Set Version as Finalized, Drupal will not make any changes to the asset in the Media Library. Drupal will only detect a new asset version if it is uploaded to DAM.

If I select a previous version of an asset in DAM, will the asset embedded in my Drupal content be updated?

No. If you select a previous version of an asset in DAM and select Set Version as Finalized, the asset embedded in your Drupal content will not update. However, a workaround is available to ensure that the proper asset is displayed after selecting a previous version.

  1. On the Asset Details page, select Switch Version and then select a previous version of the asset.

  2. Edit one of the metadata fields. Drupal will detect this as an update to the asset.

  3. Select Set Version as Finalized.

  4. Check your Drupal page after an hour, and verify that the page displays the previous version of the asset.

Do I need to do any additional configurations with the Drupal WYSIWYG editor to allow new media types?

You must configure the WYSIWYG editor to allow all new media types. To do this:

  1. Go to the Configuration page /admin/config in Drupal.

  2. In the Content authoring section, select Text formats and editors /admin/config/content/formats.

  3. For each of the text formats that use Media Library, select Configure and go to the Filter settings section.

  4. Under Embed media, go to the section labeled Media types selectable in the Media Library. Select the new media types you want to allow in the WYSIWYG editor.
