On September 29, the amount of data available in the Insights app was reduced from three years to the last 13 months. This will improve Insights performance while we work on the new reporting experience.
Rest assured, all of your data is safe. Once the new experience is released later this year, data from January 1, 2021 and onward will be available in the new data pipeline, powered by Snowflake.
Asset insights is already run on our Snowflake-powered data pipeline, so it is not affected by this temporary reduction of data.
You told us that search results sorted by relevance sometimes returned outdated results. So, we updated the relevance formula to factor in “date updated” information for assets.

Here’s how we improved DAM accessibility this month.
We completed two new Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs) for the new share and download experiences. These templates document our product’s conformance with accessibility standards and guidelines.
Previously, a tooltip would only remain open when a user hovered over the target element. Now, tooltips also remain open when someone hovers over the tooltip.
For video assets, we updated focus states for all video player controls to improve keyboard accessibility. We also fixed an issue with the video quality button so that screen readers read “quality menu popup button” to the user.
A bug was fixed so that relative links can be added to dashboard message text or anywhere that uses the new rich text editor.
The issue with transparency being applied incorrectly to documents in the related assets and recently viewed sections has been resolved.
The issue with categories showing up as a search filter when the category setting has been turned off has been resolved.
In redesigned search, the filter for released assets no longer includes assets that have expired.
The issue with forward slashes in a category name causing sub-categories not to load in the category menu has been resolved.
Intended use values are now populating correctly in the downloads tab of Quick Insights reports.
In some cases, a user’s timezone setting was causing data to be labeled with the wrong month in Quick Insights. That’s fixed now.
Now, when you go from legacy search to Asset Digest and click the return button, you will go to the page you were last on in search results, instead of always being returned to the first page.
