Acquia DAM - October, 2025

Copilot with live support chat in DAM

The in-app "Chat Support" interface has been updated to align with the visual style of Acquia CoPilot. This change provides a modern, cohesive experience while maintaining all core live chat features (including file attachments and agent access). The seldom-used chat transcript export option has been removed.

Customer benefits

  • Consistent experience: Ensures a seamless and familiar support process, aligning DAM's chat function with other Acquia products.
  • Reliable access: Provides users with the expected, reliable access to live support agents via a clean, updated interface.

SharePoint native integration

A new integration automates the transfer of documents from a designated SharePoint document library directly into Acquia DAM. It monitors a SharePoint folder, creates the corresponding asset in DAM (mapping up to 20 metadata fields), and then handles the original file (move or delete) in SharePoint. Also, note that this is a background integration powered by Workato, with no new UI in DAM. It is limited to document libraries with less than 5,000 items and a max file size of 200 MB.

Customer benefits

  • Time savings and error reduction: Eliminates manual file transfers and metadata entry, freeing up user time and minimizing mistakes.
  • Faster workflows: Documents are reliably processed and made available in DAM quickly for all teams.

Bug fixes:

  • Resolved an issue where the "Run facial detection" button was visible to users without sufficient permissions.
  • Corrected an issue where the "quality" parameter was not being respected for "Video (No Player)" embed links.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the system from displaying archived assets.
  • Category search events are now being captured and logged properly in Insights.
