This document provides instructions on how to use Heatmaps.
The Acquia Optimize Heatmaps add-on is script-based. The tool uses a warm-to-cold color scheme to show you exactly how your web pages are performing. Get information on how visitors interact with your pages, identify problem areas, and make targeted improvements.
Choose between 3 different heat map types:
Move: Shows where desktop visitors moved across the page with the mouse.
Click: Shows the points on the page where visitors tapped or clicked.
Scroll: Shows how far visitors scrolled down the pages.
This add-on requires the Acquia Optimize script.
This section provides instructions on how to view the heatmap on pages that have heatmaps applied to them:
Open the web browser extension and navigate to the page with the heat map.

Click Heatmaps (flame icon) on the extension toolbar.
The heatmap may not show much activity when it is first activated, the results begin to appear as external users browse the site.

This section shows the reports that are scheduled to be delivered to the active (logged-in) user after each scan.
On the same row as a report, click the gear icon.
The Schedule Report page opens.
