This article gives instructions on how to set up and use PageCorrect.
Acquia Optimize PageCorrect is a script-based add-on that helps you to find and repair quality assurance and accessibility issues directly, without the need to log onto a content management system (CMS).
Ensure that your website is free of quality assurance and accessibility errors with the ability to fix website issues, like broken links, misspellings, and accessibility problems directly from within the platform itself. The changes are immediately reflected on your website.
The interface enables even non-technical users to update your site easily without any coding knowledge.
This module requires the Acquia Optimize script.

Ensure Alt attributes are not missing or incorrectly used
Find and repair missing or incorrectly applied alt attributes that can negatively impact the level of accessibility compliance on your website.
Customize rules for words
Identify specific spellings, words, or phrases used across your website and update them in bulk.
Identify and instantly address non-ADA-compliant elements
Find and remove non-ADA-compliant elements (for example, <i> and <b> elements) and improve the website's level of accessibility.
This section gives instructions on how to use PageCorrect.
The Summary page is the landing page for PageCorrect. This section gives instructions on the page fields and actions that you can do from this view.
Click PageCorrect (icon of a shield with a checkmark) on the domain toolbar. The Summary page opens.
The toolbar above the results list contains the following fields:
Use or apply custom PageCorrect: Click Use or Apply Custom PageCorrect, on the upper right-hand side of the page.
Delete All: Click to remove all PageCorrect issues.

Click to view Accessibility Fixes. from the menu on the left side of the page. The Accessibility Fixes page contains the following fields:
Difficulty: The difficulty level needed to fix the issue. This gives the user some indication of the level of expertise needed.

Quick Guide: Fix Misspelled Words
This section gives instructions on how to repair broken links.
Click PageCorrect (shield with a checkmark icon). The PageCorrect dashboard opens.
From the menu on the left-hand side of the page, click List.
The PageCorrect Content page opens. The results are in a table format.
On the same row as a broken link, click Action. The menu expands. Select:
Update to update the issue. A dialog opens:
The dialog has a field with the existing URL and the instructions: "Please insert correct URL:"
Enter the correct URL in the field provided. The URL must start with a protocol such as http://.
All links that lead to the same destination are listed. The first five are displayed, but the full number of URLs discovered is shown.
Click Save. This fixes the broken link in all instances throughout the website.
If the Acquia Optimize subscription ends, the error will still be present in the website HTML. Acquia Optimize recommends that a web developer fixes the issue within the HTML code. Note the location(s) of the broken link and send it to the web developer for a permanent fix.
Remove: Click to remove the issue from the list.
Select this choice if the link is known to be correct and the error occurred due to, for example, a server outage at the time of the last scan.
If the error persists, it will be flagged again.
