This document provides instructions on how to install and set up the Acquia Optimize web browser extension. You do not need to be an admin in the Acquia Optimize platform to install the web browser extension.

Tip: When you open the application, the option and links to add the extension are listed on the right side of the page. It is easier to add the extension in that way.
If this is the first time the Chrome Web Store is used to install extensions on the device, a blue message appears, informing you that you can now install extensions from the Chrome Web Store in Microsoft Edge. Click Allow extensions from other stores and then click Allow in the pop-up notice.
Microsoft introduced a newer version of the Edge browser based on Chromium, which allows users to install the same extensions in Edge as are available in Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers. To check which version of Edge you use, see this guide: Microsoft Edge Guide.
The application requires Edge version 79.0.309 or higher. Older versions are not based on Chromium. If an older version is installed, update to a newer Edge version or use Chrome instead.
