PHP 7.2.0 was released on 30 Nov 2017. Acquia Cloud doesn't support it yet, though it's on our roadmap to do so. If you're an early adopter, we want you to know about certain limitations that might be impacting your development work.
- With the release of Drupal 8.4.4, most incompatibilities with PHP 7.2 have been resolved. However, a few known issues remain and full compatibility will be guaranteed only when Drupal 8.5.0 is released (ETA is March 7).
- Drush 8 is returning count(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable errors (fixed, but will only be available in the next patch release)
- The Lightning distribution is currently incompatible with PHP 7.2 due. See the Lightning known issues page.
We'll update this article as we uncover new issues. Should you have any question or concern, please file an Acquia Support ticket to get assistance.
